- Socially relevant theme needs to be incorporated
- Use of loud speakers not allowed
- Criteria for marks – Costumes, music, chorus work, performance in the round and audience strength

- Any published play or original script is acceptable – vulgarity and obscenity to be avoided.
- Criteria for marks – Direction, stage management, acting, use of light and sound, costumes, make-up, publicity, backstage management, posters and audience strength
